between wave and water

work-in-progress sharing of between wave and water courtest of Alethea Pace

Multidisciplinary choreographer & performer Alethea Pace presents an exclusive glimpse into the creative process of "between wave and water," a site-specific multimedia performance walk rooted in reclaiming the history of an African Burial Ground in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx scheduled for September 2024.

Through storytelling, song and dance, a contemporary Bronx Trickster character guides us on a time-traveling journey while exposing our complex entanglement with history. Experience a captivating blend of storytelling, song, and dance performed by an extraordinary team of collaborators including S T A R R (busby), Imani Gaudin, Darvejon Jones, and Holiday.

Note: This event will partly take place outdoors.
