Pilates Reformer/ Tower for Dancers
This 60 minutes Pilates Reformer/Tower Class for Dancers is designed for dancers (and former dancers), to improve their dance activities and prevent injuries by focusing on inner core strength, balance and correct body alignment. The Pilates Reformer and Tower will be utilized to help perform various exercise choreography in ideal ranges of motion with control and precision. Dancers who are in rehab from injuries are welcome.
Mondays: 1:30~2:30pm at Gramercy Pilates taught by Yuki Hasegawa.

About the instructor: Yuki Hasegawa holds her MA in Dance and Dance Education from NYU, and her BA from Kobe College in Japan. She started her Pilates training when she was a graduate student at NYU, and has certified through Kane School of Core Integration. She has taught at Kane School, Kinected, Movements Afoot, and Peridance Center since 2002. She is currently an instructor for Pilates Teachers Training program at Gramercy Pilates, and also a program adviser of BDC-Pilates in Tokyo.
As a dancer, she performed in major musical and TV productions in Tokyo for seven years. After she moved to NY, she founded Azul Dance Theatre in 2004, and has choreographed and presented her contemporary dance works at major venues in NY, Europe, and Japan. Azul Dance is a recipient of CUNY Dance Initiative Residency Program in 2016. She is currently a faculty of Peridance Center.
