FEDERAL BUDGET

8) Actions to Save the NEA, NEH, IMLS, and CPB

The Trump Administration's budget proposal eliminates funding for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). The combined $971 million budget for these four agencies represents only 0.02% of the federal budget.

Write and call your Senators and Congress Members to ask them to preserve funding for the NEA, NEH, IMLS, and CPB or use this simple form at EveryLibrary.org.

Read and share this New York Times opinion piece on Why Authoritarians Attack the Arts.

Share this great video from the Washington Post on federal funding for culture and libraries and impact of the proposed cuts.
