Subsidized Rehearsal Space

For the remainder of 2024, we will be offering 170 hours of $10/hour subsidized rehearsal space each month. Once 170 hours of $10/hour subsidized space have been booked for the month, qualifying rentals can be booked at $20/hour. These hours will be available for request on the 15th of the previous month.

We recognize that the Mark Morris Dance Center has been a primary resource for affordable space in New York City for more than two decades. We are committed to continuing to prioritize the artists who rely on us for space and making space as affordable as possible.

What’s Changing?

• On the 15th of each month, 170 hours of $10/hour space + Unlimited hours of $20/hour space will become available for the following month. (For example, requests for the month of June will open on May 15th) o The request window for rehearsal space is shifting from the 1st to the 15th of the month.

• 170 hours of subsidized rehearsal space will be made available to qualifying artists on a first-come, first-served basis. Once 170 hours of $10/hour subsidized space have been booked for the month, qualifying rentals can be booked at $20h/hour.
