Opportunity for Emerging, Mid-Career & Established Choreographers! (5-45min Works)

Opportunity for Emerging, Mid-Career & Established Choreographers! (5-45min Works)

Sans Limites Dance is now accepting applications from Emerging, Mid-Career & Established Choreographers/Companies interested in performing in our upcoming season. Sans Limites Dance Spring Season 2016 runs from June 1st -- June 6th, 2016 at The Hudson Guild Theatre; a 99-seat, modern proscenium arch theatre located in Chelsea, NYC.

Inspired by the Duncan quote “You were once wild here, don’t let them tame you”, SLD looks for innovative works that aim to push past the definitions that currently define/confine dance. Although preferred, works are not limited to the performance art/post-modern/modern/contemporary/contemporary ballet genre. We encourage all movement styles to apply, so long as the work is breaking down barriers & redefining the style through unique choreographic visions; ranging from highly technical/athletic dance to gesture/performance-art based movement.

This season Sans Limites Dance is not only accepting submissions for shorter works (5-15 min), but is also providing choreographers the opportunity to apply to present longer works (30-45min) in a Split-Bill format.

Accepted applicants will receive performance publicity, technical rehearsal with professional light designer, 2 fully produced 'short-works' and/or 1 Split-Bill performance(s), stage manager & percentage of your company's ONLINE ticket sales; 'short work' choreographers will receive 30% of ticket sales & 'Split-Bill' choreographers will receive 50% of ticket sales.

There is NO APPLICATION FEE to apply. If selected, the production fee is $250 (Short Works) OR $550 (Split-Bill) which can be paid in a 2 or 4 installment payment plan.
