About KoDaFe in NYC
KoDaFe in NYC is an international dance festival held by i KADA Contemporary Dance Company. KoDaFe in NYC has grown into a four day dance festival bringing together artists from diverse backgrounds. Together, selected choreographers and i KADA Contemporary Dance Company create intricate choreographies to showcase to the public. As the festival continues to grow, we excitedly are forging a cultural exchange through dance by inviting dance companies, choreographers, and performers to perform in the US and South Korea. We are beginning an exchange program for 2019 with the Busan International Dance Festival. This exchange program will allow us to not only host choreographers from the Busan International Dance Festival, but to also participate in their festival as well. The Busan International Dance Festival, located in the second biggest city in Korea, has been introducing international artists every June in Busan and has been growing as one of the exemplary dance festivals in Korea. i KADA Dance Company aims to build a more peaceful, understanding world through dance and strengthen the international dance community through this cross-cultural exchange. We invite you to be a part of this mission!

There will be 2 winners selected from the competition!!

1st Place: Choreographer will receive $800. Also, they will be invited to participate in the i KADA Annual Showcase "Share the Stage". This includes 12 rehearsals (expenses covered) and the use of the i KADA Company Dancers. The annual show compensation will be $300 for a 7-8 minute long piece, along with photos and video footage of the show.
