Gibney's ShowDown: Performance and Feedback Series

ShowDown is a performance and feedback series for works-in-progress at Gibney 280 Broadway. The program provides emerging and mid-career dance artists an opportunity to show unfinished work in an informal, welcoming setting. Artists sign up to present their work through a non-curated lottery process. A feedback session following the performance is facilitated by a moderator; a noted guest choreographer. The moderator guides a feedback session with the viewers and artists to aid in the development of participating artists’ work.

The ShowDown application will be open until Thursday, June 6 at 11:59 pm EST and will not cap the number of applications accepted.

From that pool, 12 artists will be selected at random for the Fall 2019 ShowDown dates. The selected artists will be assigned a date based on their ranked preferences below. If you are unavailable for any of the ShowDown dates, please note this below.

Availability
ShowDown takes place on Sunday afternoons from 3:30 - 5:30 pm at Gibney 280 Broadway. Artists must arrive at 2:00 pm for set-up and a brief technical rehearsal.

Artists must be available from 2:00 - 5:30 pm on the day of the showing to present work at ShowDown.

Sunday, September 8th, 2019 
Sunday, October 6th, 2019
Sunday, November 17th, 2019
Sunday, December 1st, 2019
