stubbornMVMT is seeking an Administrative Intern and Marketing Intern to assist the Artistic Director, Rodd Denson, in an upcoming production in collaboration with The Performance Project @ University Settlement. Interns will cultivate skills that will aid in those seeking careers in Arts Administration, Event Management, Marketing, and Social Media Management. This position will be a 3-4 month position.
This position is part-time requiring 5-10 hrs/wk for up to four months. Additional hours required starting November 1, 2019, and will not exceed 20 hours. The selected candidate will primarily work from home with occasional group meetings at local cafes in Brooklyn, NY.
ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Founded by Richard “Rodd” Denson in 2018, stubbornMVMT is a performance-based company that uses dance, theatre, and visual arts to shatter boundaries of the status quo. We create intentional chaos - providing a platform for free and radical voices to be heard. It is not our interest in providing an answer but rather a platform for discussion.
Background/knowledge of dance is strongly desired.
Be comfortable with internet-based research.
Be comfortable working remotely and with a small group.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to multitask - time management and organizational skills are a must.
Enthusiastic, adaptable, and patient with the willfulness to learn.
Have excellent communication skills and easily able to adapt to brand guidelines.
High School Diploma, a 2-year degree is desired.
Knowledge of Google Drive (Docs, Form, Sheets, etc.), Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), MailChimp and Squarespace.
Must be personable and have a welcoming attitude - you will be required to interact with others via email and in-person.
Must have access to their own laptop.
