WR Arts seeks Creative Musical Theater Instructor
WR Arts provides quality performing arts education in a safe and supportive environment throughout the Williamsburg/Greenpoint area in afternoon programs including In School & Studio settings.
We are currently seeking Teaching Artists interested in joining our team, specializing in voice and musical theater. We’re looking to bring on engaging instructors that can create and teach classes that excite our students, giving an introduction to Theater Arts through Music, Drama/ Improv work & some movement.
Ideal applicants should have a background in music, vocal performance and theater. Prior teaching experience (familiarity with ages 4 -10 is a plus). Extensive dance training is not required however, basic dance terminology and knowledge is important. We are looking for self motivated, committed educators and artists who have the ability to adapt to a studio classroom setting.
Applicants must be available on Thursday afternoons from 2pm - 6pm.
This position runs from January 27th - June 13th with the potential of teaching in future sessions.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Compensation $75.00 per day
Our teaching artists are Independent Contractors of WR Arts, and are not considered employees. Teaching Artists are paid through 1099 and required to pay their own self-employment taxes. Additionally, contractors are ineligible for unemployment, health, or transportation benefits through WR Arts.
