ALLways: Making your Art Accessible

A tight grid of 20 black and white icons representing both various modes of disability and types of access.

For individual artists, creators, and arts practitioners:

Workshop topics will include both creation-first access provocations and techniques as well as the fundamentals of presenting accessible virtual and physical events and performances.  Explore ways to expand and deepen your artistic process and creative process through invitation into artistically equitable and aesthetically rigorous access creation.

Learn WHY and HOW equitable access practice benefits your art, artists, and audiences.

Build your audience with smart, accessible communications, outreach, and community building techniques

Create equitable and meaningful access for your work and performances

Plug in to a community of arts professionals for ongoing support, resources, and best practice development

The ALLways method is based in Kinetic Light's research and practice and uses fundamental principles of equity and hospitality to help you learn how to create equitable accessibility for your art, events, organizations, and audiences.  Beyond any single event, ALLways participants are invited into an ongoing community of practice and resource.

ASL/CART/AD included.  We offer a sliding registration fee scale based on organization size for this event to increase financial accessibility.  Please reach out to Laurel Lawson at laurel@kineticlight.org with any questions.  If you can't make this workshop stay tuned for upcoming workshops throughout the year.
