About Daaimah Taalib-Din
Daaimah’s personal and spiritual relationship to her artistry has made her a most sought-after performer, teacher and choreographer in the United States and abroad. Her gifts earned her the distinction of being the first person to win a Bessie Award (the 2017 award for Best Performer) for African-based dance. 
Her music video credits include Black Coffee’s “Come with Me”, in which she was the lead choreographer, and Styles P’s, “Never Fight an African” ,in which she performed her own solo choreography.  Daaimah also filmed for the Hollywood production, “Set-Up 3D”

About Darian M. Parker
Darian Parker is a much sought-after choreographer, teacher and performer of West African dance forms from Mali, Guinea and Senegal.  His work has received recognition and support from the Jerome Foundation, Harlem Stage Fund for New Work, and the New Haven Arts Council.  He has also completed a number of dance teaching residencies at such institutions as SUNY Purchase.  Darian's performance credits include the Hollywood Film Step Up 3-D, the Fats Waller National Tour featuring Meshell Ndegeocello, and the G'Bassikolo Mexican Tour.  Having taught at institutions including the Harlem School of the Arts, Forces of Nature Youth Arts Academy and Dwana Smallwood Performing Arts Center, Darian currently serves on the faculty of Cumbe Center for African and Diaspora Dance.  You can learn more about Darian at the following link: http://cumbedance.org/adult-classes/meet-our-teachers/
