Aileen Passloff: Stepping Forward:One Foot (in front of the other)

Aileen Passloff Bob Vergara

The 92nd St. Y's Dig Dance will present AILEEN PASSLOFF, Stepping Forward: One foot  (in front of the other), a program of dances by Passloff spanning her creative years from the early 1960s, when she was one of the pioneers of the early Judson Church modern dance scene, to new works receiving their world premieres.   Passloff has also recreated two dances that she performed: James Waring's 1958 "Octandre," made for Passloff and danced here by Nic Petry, and Remy Charlip's 1964 "April and December," here danced by Charlotte Hendrickson.  Dancers include Arthur Aviles and members of The Bang Group.  Live music by pianists Doug Schultz, Michael Cherry, and Michael Scales, and guitarist Arturo Martinez.
