Daniel Flores Dance presents Alas pa' volar (Wings to Fly), a dance tribute to Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

This evening will intertwine modern dance and Mexican folk dance in celebration of the ever-present Mexicanity in Kahlo's work, as well as her continual influence on contemporary arts & culture.

Join us as we reimagine some of her work and life into dance.


Directed by Daniel Flores
Choreography by Daniel Flores, in collaboration with all dancers.
Costume design by Elizabeth Cervantes

Performances will be followed by a brief talkback session with all artists, and a reception with food & drinks.
