SUBMIT YOUR WORK TO THE 2019 DETROIT DANCE CITY FESTIVAL!!

1. Choreographer's Showcase

     Date: Saturday, August 24th

     Time: afternoon/evening

     Location: Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit Film Theater

Providing a platform to show their work, Detroit Dance City Festival's Choreographers Showcase is an opportunity to bring together choreographers and dancers from accross the globe to exchange ideas and show what they have been working on. Pieces are carefully seleceted to perform and showcase a wonderful representation of borth regional, national, and international work. 

*ARTIST EXCHANGE PROGRAM: In an effort to promote Detroit as an International hub for movement, the Detroit Dance City Festival curates an exchange prgoram with a national and international festival.

2. Summer Stage

     Date: Saturday, August 24 or Sunday, August 25th

     Time: Afternoon 

     Location: Detroit Institute of Arts

The Summer Stage provides a unique experience, hosted outside of the Detroit Institute of Arts, audience members and performers will be bringing together both the outdoor experience and the art of live performance in one space.

3. Friday Dance Party

     Date: Friday, August 23rd

     Time: Evening 

     Location: Detroit Institute of Arts, Woodward Plaza

One of the highlihgts of the Detroit Dance City Festival, Friday Dance Party is an exciting late night event that brings people together to celebrate dance through a friday night dance party and special performances from Detroit's best dance crews!
