Dance/Movement Therapy with Children

This course will review theoretical material on child development, including developmental movement and basic attachment theory; and explore how early influences in child development impact one’s capacity to form healthy emotional relationships.

The course will build on this theoretical foundation and explore the use of dance/movement therapy treatment and interventions with a variety of child populations, in various clinical and educational settings.

This course is fully approved by the ADTA for Alternate Route credit for R-DMT. All Dance Therapy courses are eligible for CE hours. For further information about the ADTA, visit adta.org.
