DRAMATURGY of THE BODY
INTRODUCTION to IMPROVISATIONAL PRACTICES of MOVEMENT and VIEWPOINTS

The workshop is open to adults and theater professionals to enhance various aspects of the performing arts. The workshop seeks to bring together professional artists and community members to cultivate new skills and knowledge which can be applied to all aspects of the creative life.

PART ONE: The workshop will be focused on recognizing and experimenting with different ways of connecting the body with the environment through exploring our own weight, shapes and qualities of movement.

PART TWO: The workshop will focus on exploring different theatrical forms that extend the notion of time and space concentrating on creating a character and the use of dramatic text.

PART THREE: The workshop participants will explore and practice the crossing of disciplines, forms and styles, working as a group and as individuals, creating small theatrical pieces to be shared among the workshop participants.

Up to five need-based scholarships will be offered through recommendation or written letter of interest. Scholarships awards will be determined by XIPE Colectivo Escénico. Inquire at directors@bksd.org
