Clark Center NYC invites you to:
Expressions: Black Lives Matter - An Arts Collaboration
Black lives inspire, Black lives create, Black lives collaborate, Black lives matter

Black lives have always mattered at Clark Center for the Performing Arts.  Known for diversity, inclusion and providing opportunities for black artists and artists of color throughout 60 years of existence, we have always talked the talk and walked the walk. Our work and commitment to black lives and black art continues to speak for itself.

We invite artists from all disciplines to submit images of original works of art (2 and 3 dimensional), music, spoken word/poetry, film, and photographs that speak to “Black Lives Matter”, diversity, anti-racism and inclusion. We will  then invite dancers/choreographers to select a work from these  submissions for inspiration and collaborate with one of the artists to create a new work. Dancers may also select (use) an existing work or work-in-process suitable to the art of their selected collaborator or as a stand-alone piece.  If you are a dancer and a visual artist, you can share a dance based on your own work. The final product should be a video of your dance or a collaboration.

In what we hope to be an ongoing series highlighting our commitment to equality, inclusivity and collaboration in the arts, we plan to feature selected collaborations on our various social media platforms, our monthly newsletter and to share with the wider arts community.

With this in mind we are committed to providing a platform for voices to be heard during this time of renewed activism.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Send an image or tape of your work for collaboration with a choreographer
    OR
