Gallim Presents the World Premiere of To Create a World
February 12–17, 2019 at The Joyce Theater

Known for her striking, evocative work and “visceral, go-for-broke physicality” (The New York Times), Andrea Miller, Artistic Director of Gallim, returns to The Joyce Theater after a year as the choreographer-in-residence at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Building on her discoveries there, Miller’s new work, To Create a World, harnesses the uncompromising virtuosity and raw vulnerability of the Gallim dancers in a provocative study of the human body and its instinct to survive.

To Create a World features an original score by composer/multi-instrumentalist Will Epstein (who collaborated with the company at The Met Breuer in spring 2018), lighting design by Burke Brown, and costume design by Jose Solis.

Performances are February 12–17, 2019 (Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30pm, Thursday–Saturday at 8pm, and Sunday at 2pm). The Joyce Theater is located at 175 Eighth Avenue (at 19th Street), in Manhattan NYC.

Tickets for Gallim’s performances at The Joyce Theater range from $10 to $60 and can be purchased through JoyceCharge at JOYCE.ORG or by calling 212-242-0800. Ticket prices are subject to change.
