MASTER CLASS SERIES: WORKSHOP
“When we dance, we forget there’s a specific trajectory of movement to return to.” —Caterina Rago
What does it require to catch and release a prop or a book in a performance? And, what does it take, beyond technical execution, to defy the horizontal plane in physical theater and dance?
The Master Class Series asks and explores choreographic questions at work in Caterina Rago’s performances. As for the answers, it’s up to you and how you move, think and work through each of three sessions. We’ll use real props and choreographic phrases from, Labir Into, and you’ll work with guest dancers from CRDC. This is a rare opportunity to prepare for auditions and learn what it is to be in a company. The final session includes an open rehearsal with a live audience. Open to dancers and choreographers.
