Modern Barre & Across the Floor w/ Herring
This is a class Joyce Herring developed to teach Lyon Opera Ballet dancers the skills to perform American modern dance choreography. It integrates modern dance concepts of spiral, shift of weight, and contraction into the more familiar ballet barre exercises. Center floor and traveling phrases put these skills into practice to develop the versatility and proficiency of a well-rounded dancer.
