Omayra Amaya brings Flamenco Intensive to New York City this winter for dancers of all levels: beginners, intermediate, and advanced. The Technique class will focus on building upper and lower body strength, fluidity of movement, flamenco turns, footwork, rhythms and musicality, through across the floor escobillas, marcajes, and dance combinations. The choreography class will focus on the structure, rhythms, style and composition in the palos of Tientos and Serranas.

The Beginner Workshop is geared towards beginner flamenco dancer. This workshop will focus on the basic techniques of flamenco footwork, body movements, arm work, coordination, rhythms, structure and combinations.

We are offering Bata de Cola por Alegrias again. Open level class.

Lastly, our Repertory Workshop is by invitation or audition (to be considered, please attend Repertory audition on January 15, 7 to 8 pm).

Beginners Worksop, Bata de Cola Workshop and Repertoy Workshop require pre-registration by January 6, 2020. For dancers that are auditioning for Repertory, pre-registration deadline will be on January 15.
