Class is a highly imaginative and highly physical investigation of ourselves as movers. Together we nurture a safe space for building community, imagination, risk and rigor, while embracing a spirit of constant kindness, learning and growth. Class begins with a sensation-based warm up where we wake up our bodies and ground ourselves through improvisation and set material. We will learn some basics of modern technique and cultivate skills, strength and curiosity through floor, standing exercises and across the floor sequences. Class culminates with a full-bodied dance phrase that challenges us both physically and creatively.
