Join Cuban choreographer Irene Rodríguez Compañía for an Open Level Flamenco class from the comfort of your own home! Tune in this Saturday, April 11 at 3pm EST on our Instagram Live channel.

The hour-long class will be divided into two parts, starting with beginning Flamenco technique. Participants will learn about the unique Flamenco body style: the Braceos technique (arms, which includes the circular movement of the hands), the Palmas (hand clapping), and the Zapateados (Flamenco footwork technique).

During the second half, we will put these techniques into practice by working on a combination that fuses Flamenco and Hip Hop styles set to Spanish vocalist Rosalía’s “Con Altura.”
