Applicable to recent graduates, educators, professionals and organizers seeking innovative techniques for connecting with their audience through movement, Dancewave’s 2020 Arts Educator training focuses on cultivating racial equity in the classroom with arts and social justice advocate David King.

Each year, Dancewave creates a space where educators can share in an evolving conversation about embodied learning through dance, the arts, and holistic approaches to community building in the classroom. Participants learn how to integrate best practices into their teaching, including restorative movement exercises, supportive classroom management skills, promoting racial equity and wellness, social-emotional learning, and facilitating effective and affirmative feedback.

Dancewave seeks to ignite a passion within educators to make real social change through experiential learning and dance for students of all ages. Visit dancewave.org/educator-training for registration and details.
