ABOUT THE COOP

Artistic Director Alexandra Amirov’s story of immigration from the Soviet Union to Israel and then, to the United States inspired The Coop. With a cast of thirteen dancers, this immersive work explores the profound and destabilizing effect of uprooting a family to a new country, culture, society, and land.
