The Kathryn Posin Dance Company: Evolution, Triple Sextet and Memoir

Evolution: The Letters of Charles Darwin is a seven-dancer, spoken word ballet, narrated by Posin, based on the early correspondence that led to Darwin’s theory of evolution and The Origin of Species. The dance tracks Darwin’s voyages around the world on the HMS Beagle. Through movement, words, projections and music this work makes more human and more playful one of history's most important, controversial and ever-relevant figures.

Triple Sextet—set to Steve Reich’s Pulitzer Prize-winning composition Double Sextet that features two sextets of polyrhythmic winds, string and percussion—includes a third sextet of dancers.

Memoir is a solo to J.S. Bach for noted dancer and company co-founder Lance Westergard
