Dance/NYC held digital sessions for this year’s 2020 Symposium. Sessions took place via Facebook live and Zoom and included an array of artists and business experts addressing the needs of the dance workers and organizations in this unprecedented moment for our community.

Sessions were free and open to the public, and included live closed-captioning and ASL interpretation. Content will be made available soon.

DANCE FIELD SURVEY
In the meantime, Dance/NYC will redirect its efforts to serving and advocating on behalf of the field and supporting dance makers, cultural workers, and organizations as they navigate the impacts of the virus. As you may have seen yesterday, Dance/NYC released Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information and Resources for the NYC Dance Community which includes a timely and necessary survey to the field to help us understand the impact that the coronavirus is having on you and your work. We encourage you to participate and share it widely. We value your input and will use it to create public awareness and guide policy, resources, and program development for dance makers, cultural workers, and organizations based in the metropolitan New York City area.
