A tragic-comic tale told through flamenco, BREAD: A Tall Tale is a short film commissioned by the Hudson Valley Flamenco Festival 2023, directed and edited by Deirdre Towers. Featured in BAAD!ASS Women's Festival 2024, along with live performances by flamenco artists Nelida Tirado and Olyda Olda, this short film stars singer/guitarist Juan Pedro Jimenez, dancers Olyda Ola and Juan Paredes. It was inspired by one of the Gypsy Folk Tales collected by Diane Tong.
