ETD Outreach ETD Outreach Arts & Crafts Instructor

ETD Outreach is seeking Art & Crafts leaders to teach weekly workshops. Candidates should have teaching and professional expertise in visual arts to conduct arts programming for adults affected by substance abuse and mental health diagnoses living in supportive housing. We encourage and welcome all languages and have an interest in those who can provide a therapeutic arts curriculum (poems, drawing exercises, vocalization, and more). Applicants with a movement background and leadership skills are highly encouraged to apply.

 

ETD OUTREACH: Building communities through the arts, ETD Outreach is a division of Eryc Taylor Dance that works to create positive social change by using the arts as a tool to inspire and heal. Our unique initiative partners with supportive housing sites, hospitals, and community centers throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and beyond to curate movement workshops for vulnerable populations, including mental illness and/or disabilities.

Current Schedule Openings:

-Tuesdays at 2:00 PM in Brooklyn (11213)

Requirements for submission:

- USA work visa, passport, or green card. 

- At least TWO years of professional teaching experience

- Short Cover letter and Resume

-Portfolio images of your artwork or your participants' artwork to share? 

- Contact information for at least two references and/or one letter of recommendation.

- Independent contractor personal liability insurance (can be obtained after interview)

- Samples of your work (photos, collages, drawings, poems, etc).
