Movement Trainer – Physical Therapy Office

Job Description:

James Fowler Physical Therapy is located in the heart of Union Square in a beautiful loft, designed to encourage tranquility and healing. We have a passion for educating people about their bodies in order to help them achieve their recovery goals. We are seeking a dynamic individual with interest/experience in movement, anatomy, and/or physical therapy work.

Job Type:

Part-time, with a possibility to transition into full-time.

Position Responsibilities:

 

Trainer will work alongside physical therapists to implement patients' exercise programs and communicate important movement concepts to them. 
Teaching patients new exercises, monitoring and advising them on their form.
Sending home exercise plans via our online platform.
Communicating with the physical therapists about the patient’s progress.
General housekeeping of the office. (Cleaning/Disinfecting treatment rooms/equipment in between patients).
Occasional administrative tasks. (Ensure Form Completion).
3-4 Weeks of paid training and shadow-shifts

 

Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills, willingness to learn
Excellent People Skills, Articulate and professional 
Team player, Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented, well organized
Athletic Background ---(Preferred)
1-2 Years in a related field (Ex: Healthcare, Dance/Movement) ---(Preferred)
Higher/College Education ---(Preferred)
