On May 4th from 11am-6pm Dance New Amsterdam will host its second Dance for DNA Day in conjunction with New Museum's IDEAS CITY. Choreographers interested in presenting their work should complete and submit an application by midnight March 31. We are looking for short site-specific pop-up performances to be performed in DNA's upstairs gallery, downstairs lobby gallery, or in any nook and/or cranny of our space that you are inspired to use! Free and open to the public, Dance for DNA Day was a huge success last fall with over 40 companies performing and audiences streaming through the space all day long.
