Applications are open for Small Plates Choreography Festival, a curated dance performance series to be presented on November 3 at 8:00 p.m, and November 4 at 4:00 p.m. at Safe Harbors Lobby at the Ritz Theatre in Newburgh, NY. All choreographers interested in presenting work in an intimate venue in the thriving artistic community in Newburgh are welcome to apply.

Ensemble dance works no longer than 10 minutes and solo works no longer than 8 minutes will be considered. Completed work will be given priority over works-in-progress or proposed work.

An application fee of $20.00 per piece is required. There is no production fee for this concert. Choreographers who have their work chosen will be given one complimentary ticket and are expected to help populate the audience by bringing at least two paid patrons to each performance in which their work appears. Choreographers will also receive a video and photographs of their work.

Small Plates was developed to provide meaningful performance opportunities for choreographers and performers and to create a zoetic interface between artists and their audiences. Small Plates Choreography Festival builds community through performance, dialogue, and professional networking.
