Doun Doun Dance

Doun Doun Dance

Doun Doun Dance is unique and fun combination of dancing and drumming. It originates from Guinea, West Africa and is typically done by women. Join Take’ as she adds a twist of funky Brooklyn flavor to this powerful art form. It’s a great way to connect your mind and body through movement and rhythm, release tension, and express joy. Doun Doun Dance is super fun, great exercise and nourishing for the soul. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a bottle of water. This class is open to all levels. Workshop price includes use of a doun doun drum and sticks but students are welcome to bring their own drums.
