A celebratory culmination of dance, Cultivated Chaos is a performance

to benefit Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

a??Choreographed by Julia Kane, a beneficiary of the world renowned care provided by MSKCC, this show will celebrate her transition from cancer patient to choreographer.

Cultivated Chaos exemplifies the juxtaposition that comes with confronting, challenging, and conquering a cancer diagnosis. The hectic uncertainty of a cancer diagnosis inspired the underlying theme of the show, that although not everything turns out as expected, the end result is gratifying nonetheless. 

The audience will experience a three part performance featuring work with messages adjacent to work holding an abstract meaning. While focusing on a variety of styles, each piece is unexpectedly strengthened by the others in the production. Although each can stand on its own, the way the pieces are brought together creates continuity and stability, thus, cultivated chaos.
