American Liberty Ballet, a New York and New Jersey based ballet company, is proud to present the work of emerging choreographer Joan Liu in the premier of her new ballet: Pasta. The smell of fresh tomatoes and newly shredded cheese, the anticipation of stomach warming food…ah! Is your mouth watering like mine? What if we bring this satisfying experience on stage and dance it out? We start with water, then we make the dough, add the veggies…oh look! The water is boiling! Second act opens with some mysterious pasta dancing. What’s pasta dancing you asked? Maybe fusilli love to twirl, maybe shells have some serious attitude, maybe mac and cheese is the loving family…let your imaginations fly!
