On Saturday, Oct. 19, 2 pm - 3:30 pm, Reel Sisters will present a special screening and panel conversation on moving through trauma and obstacles to find a path towards healing from the inside out.
Reel Sisters #IGotYourBack: A Time for Holding Space & Healing will feature Ballet After Dark, directed by B.Monet, and And Nothing Happened, produced and directed by Naima Ramos Chapman. Each film takes on an intimate journey of survivors reclaiming their power.

In the aftermath of an assault, a woman tries to come to terms with the violation, or just get through her day. Director Naima Ramos-Chapman uses an unexpected dose of magical realism to express a poetic response to a loss of dignity.

Ballet After Dark tells the story Tyde-Courtney Edwards, a young woman who found the strength to survive after an attack. She created an organization that is helping sexual abuse and domestic violent survivors find healing after trauma through dance therapy.
