The Hartford Dance Collective is auditioning Resident Artists and Apprentices for it’s 2020 season.

 

Resident Artist of the Hartford Dance Collective

This opportunity is perfect for independent dance artists looking for a platform to use their voice and a team/space to make it happen. Resident Artists have the opportunity to perform regularly with the Collective, choreograph for Collective curated performances, teach and take regular classes at the Collective, and have a voice in creating events, performances, workshops, & more! 

The Hartford Dance Collective Apprentice Program

The Hartford Dance Collective is seeking 2-3 female Apprentices for its 2020 season. This opportunity is perfect for the young dancer looking for an outlet to perform and grow in a professional environment. Apprentices have the opportunity to perform regularly with Resident Artists of the Collective, opportunities to choreograph and receive guidance from professional choreographers, take unlimited regular classes at the Collective, and have guidance in creating their own events, performances, workshops, & more! 

19 week program, January 20 - May 31

Dancers must:

- Be technically trained

- Have choreography and leadership experience

- Have the ability to pick up choreography quickly 

- Be comfortable with improvisation

- Reside within 1 hour of Hartford, CT

- Be female identifying 

- Resident Artists must be 21+ years // Apprentices must be 16-20 years

The audition will consist of guided improvisation and a contemporary combination. Following the audition, you may be asked to present two to three minutes of your own choreography. To register, email your resume, headshot, and a choreography video no later than 12/1.
