Teaching Artist Training Program - Application Deadline

Launch your career as a dance educator in the inaugural cohort of the Mark Morris Dance Group’s Teaching Artist Training Program. This comprehensive 16-week program provides a robust opportunity to work within the unique teaching methodology at the Mark Morris Dance Center and build formal teaching practices, whether you’re coming straight out of a university program or a professional performing career.  Artists of any race, color, creed, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, or veteran status should apply.

Includes:

Practical experience assisting and teaching in the classroom, including class observations

Professional development workshops like Classroom Management and Teaching Music and Integrating Musicality

One-on-one advisor relationship with a current, principal faculty member at the Mark Morris Dance Center and additional networking opportunities

Free, unlimited adult classes at the Mark Morris Dance Center for the duration of the program

Tuition: $900
(some scholarships available)

Application deadline: December 13, 2019
Program begins: January 24, 2020
