African-based contemporary company, Roots In Revolution, is seeking female dancers to join the group. This all-female company is made of dancers with diverse backgrounds. Each woman has experience in modern and at least one African dance form (djembe, sabar, bomba, samba, etc.) The group works as a collective, and though there is an A.D., everyone is encouraged to choreograph. We are all very supportive of the development of each other's work.

We are looking for experienced performers who are also trained in modern and African dances. Experience in jazz and hip-hop are also a plus. Rehearsals are currently on Sundays at 1 pm.
