Marketing/Admin Intern Needed for NYC Dance Company

WHO WE ARE: Banana Peel Dance (BPD) is a dance theater ensemble fusing street dance, modern dance, improvisation, live music and theater.  BPD strives to blur the boundaries of post-modern dance, build collaborative partnerships between artists across art forms.  For more info, visit www.kimalmquist.com/banana-peel-dance

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW: As opportunities for BPD accelerate, we need a proactive individual to provide us with admin/marketing support. This is an excellent environment to cultivate the skills needed in performing arts management. We are looking for a skilled and creative person who wants to gain hands-on experience in the areas of dance fundraising, marketing, video editing and web development. This is an unpaid internship.

DUTIES (depending on your interests/skills):
Website development
Video editing thru iMovie or Final Cut
Marketing support for upcoming performances (email blasts, database updates, postcard distribution, etc)

REQUIREMENTS:
Honest and personable with a passion for the arts
Organized and able to manage time well
Clear communicator with excellent writing skills
Comfortable working with Word, Excel, Photoshop, iMovie, iDVD.
