Vanessa Justice Seeks Dancers

 
Contemporary choreographerVanessa Justice seeks dancers for a new process-oriented project inspired by her current interest in perception and consciousness. In addition to having strong technique in varied dance forms (postmodern, ballet, etc.) Vanessa seeks eclectic individuals with experience in somatics and other forms of mind-body training. The first phase of rehearsals will occur mostly in Feb-April 2012 in the early afternoons, with a work-in-progress showing May 4 and 5 at New York Live Arts.The final piece will be realized sometime in fall 2012 or early 2013. She would love to work with grounded, positive dancers interested in both process and product.Also important is a willingness to work in a variety of ways such as improvisation, learning material via video, slowing down and working quickly.Dancers must commit to completing the project.Pay is per public performance.

Following review of resumes, performers will receive an audition slot via email. Audition will be held at New York Live Artsbetween the hours of 3:30-7pm on Sunday, October 9. Eight dancers will be grouped into each slot, so pleaseDO NOT show up to the audition without being given a specified time to arrive. Folks just showing up must be turned away. Thanks!!
