AUDITION

An exciting Global Festival of Diversity, “HOW WE ARE CONNECTED”, is seeking performers

whose birth or heritage originates in the Caribbean Basin.
The Festival is an initiative of the New International Center of Diverse Artists, NICODA

and inspired by National Geographic’s The Genographic Project

You will be asked to perform a short solo dance, monologue in English (dramatic or comedic), and / or a song or instrumental selection with an inspired Caribbean flavor. Please bring your own accompaniment.

Performances will take place on the stages of 3 important museums: Brooklyn Museum, El Museo del Barrio (Manhattan) and Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts (Queens).

Send your resume and head shot to arrive by Sunday May 9th.

Auditions for selected artists will be scheduled from the 16th to the 19th of May 2012.

May 20th, 2012 will be a Press Event for the Selected Artists

There will be 5 weeks of rehearsals from September to October, with performances occurring on Oct 5th, 13th and 20th, 2012.

We will present a preview performance at the Brooklyn Museum Summer Festival with a small selection of artists from the cast.
