INSPIRIT, a dance company SEEKS INTERNS

 

INSPIRIT, a dance company is looking for interns currently pursuing a degree in dance or a related field.

This internship will have an emphasis on social and digital media projects. The candidate must have a strong writing ability and be able to assist with general operations and administration of a non-profit dance company.

Interns will have a unique opportunity to experience the operations of a New York dance company in its 10th anniversary season. Interns should expect to become fluent in all aspects of a modern dance company.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Writing press releases

assisting audience cultivation projects

contributing to grant writing and development

assisting the Artistic Director and social media director

About the company:

INSPIRIT, a dance company was founded in 2000 by Christal Brown. The Company's mission includes providing a forum for collaboration among emerging female artists and choreographers. It also aims to expose the general public to dance by sponsoring affordable and accessible performances in community based venues.

The movement vocabulary stems from the ensemble's wide ranging experiences from post-modern forms to traditional West African Dance.
