New York State Summer School of the Arts- School of Dance Counselor Position

 
The New York State Summer School of the Arts, a program of the State Education Department, announces a summer residential employment opportunity for dancers.
The New York State Summer School of the Arts is comprised of summer residential programs which provide intensive pre-professional training with internationally acclaimed artists and artistic companies. The program is open to all New York State high school age students who qualify through regional auditions.
The School of Dance will be held July 21- August 16 at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs. The program is directed by former Paul Taylor Principal Dancer, Carolyn Adamsand provides a professional experience for 30 of New York State’s most gifted young modern dancers.
NYSSSA serves an important need to foster and enhance the artistic abilities of the state’s most gifted young artists regardless of race, religion or economic status.We are seeking counseling staff who have excelled in their art, and can serve as role models in the dormitories and studios for our students. Assistant Director for Administration will be paid $2500 and Counselors are paid $1500 (both includeroom and board at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY).
