In-Sight Dance Company is looking for five dancers who would like to perform with the Company as a part of a gala to benefit AIDS Walk New York. We are looking for dancers with very strong ballet technique and who are interested in working with a community of dance artists who are fiercely engaged in our communities.

This is a volunteer opportunity that will rehearse for up to 40 hours and the performance will be one evening in late April/early May. Rehearsals are held Monday nights from 6pm-10pm and there will be some additional weeknight rehearsals in April. Two world premieres will be performed as a part of this gala.

The five guest dancers who will perform with In-Sight Dance will receive a 1 hour ballet technique class at the start of every rehearsal, an opportunity to take up to eight additional free company classes with In-Sight Dance Company, and a two hour consultation on fundraising or other topics with In-Sight Dance Company’s artistic/executive directorLeeanne M. G-Bowley.

Please do not bring your resume and headshot to the audition. We do not believe artists should have to spend money on auditions. If you have any questions about the process or opportunity, please e-mail our artistic director atleeanne@insightdance.org
