Purring Tiger, Interactive multimedia performance company is seeking 10-16 male/female dancers for the performance “MIZARU” in early June at Tribeca Performing Arts Center, NYC. Rehearsals will be every Monday 2-5pm.

 

We are looking for dancers who has contemporary dance technique and are comfortable with improvisation and contact/partnering.

MIZARU is a dance performance with interactive multimedia and live music, exploring life and death, technology and the human body.The title MIZARU is the name of one of the three wise monkeys in Japanese Culture, Mizaru Kikazaru Iwazaru , better known in English as See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil.

In the performance, We use two significant interactive installations “Fire Wall” and “A Haunting” making sound and visual with dancers' movement.
