Dixon Place and ASOBI NY will be presenting for one night, Friday April 19th, 2013 at 10 pm, The Tantric Shaman: A Musical Dance Piece. The piece is primarily music and dance, and tells the story of a sexual healer's brutal arrest by the police.

ASOBI NY is looking for 4 to 8 male performers for the police force. The performers will convey deep oppression through dance and dynamic movement.

Ben Spatz of Urban Research Theater will be providing a free workshop on April 13th and 14th in dynamic movement to prepare for the role. This is a valuable opportunity for artistic growth. Please see his website at http://www.urbanresearchtheater.com.

The performance will be on Dixon Place main stage with seating capacity for 130. A small stipend is offered.
