AIDS Walk New York Seeking Male Dancers

AIDS Walk New York is currently looking for groups of hard-bodied MALE dancers to donate their time by performing at selected locations along the route of the AIDS Walk. AIDS Walk New York is the largest AIDS fundraising event in the world as well as a long-standing New York tradition. This year’s walk will be held on Sunday, May 19th.

We are looking for small dance groups (5-10 members) that can be available to perform on Sunday, May 19 from 8am to 2pm.  Performers are responsible for bringing all of their own equipment as well, but we can likely pair you with a DJ or Radio Station for music.

We are unable to provide any compensation for your performance, but this is a great opportunity to expose your act to the 45,000 AIDS Walk New York participants. Additionally, it’s a great way to support GMHC, the world’s first and leading provider of HIV/AIDS prevention, care and advocacy programs, as well as the dozens of other local AIDS organizations benefiting from this event. Performers will have a web presence on the AIDS Walk New York website as well.

Interested acts should send an email to Samantha at samanthac@aidswalk.net with the following information:

-A brief description of your act

-Confirmation that you are available on Sunday, May 19, from 8am to 2pm.

-Any videos you may have of your act performing

Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you!
