Casting Notice

Treehouse Shakers, a NYC based non-profit dance-theater company, is seeking company members for the creation and touring of a new original piece, Under The Tangle. We are seeking committed and professional performers who are easy to work with, enjoy the creative process, take direction well, and enjoy working collaboratively as a company. The majority of our work is created for young audiences. Under the Tangle is geared towards ages 9-11, with the intention of being of the highest artistic caliber. Our works for young people are critically acclaimed, intertwine script with movement and are created to build future audience members, as well as lovers of imagination and artistic expression.

Seeking one male and female dancer who have great dance experience, primarily modern, acting skills a plus. Also seeking one female dancer/swing. Rehearsals are non-negotiable and are every Wednesday evenings 7-10 pm and Friday mornings 10 am-1 pm. Additional rehearsals may be added if necessary. Under The Tangle will premiere Spring 2014. Auditions will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 7-10 pm and callbacks will be held 10am-12pm on Friday, June 14, 2013. Performance Pay and rehearsal stipend.
