Brooklyn Looks East Festival - dancers required!!

 
Dancers needed for Intensive one month project and performance.

 

Delhi (India) based choreographer Swati Mohan, is seeking contemporary dancers to be part of a new piece to be performed at Brooklyn Looks East Festival on September 28th.

 

Dancers must be competent and confident working with improvisation and in a collaborative environment that encourages artist created content, open dialogue, exchange of ideas and movement explorations.

 

Brooklyn Looks East is a festival produced by Delhi Dance Theater and Gowanus Arts Productions. It aims to open cross cultural collaboration between artists in India and the US and will showcase dance and live music from companies who work out of Brooklyn with an Indian connect.

 

Audition on Thursday 29th August

from 10am - 12pm , Please be warmed up ready to dance at 10am

at Mark Morris Dance Group

3 Lafayette Ave, Brooklyn

 

Rehearsals will be held 3 times a week

You will be required for tech/dress on Fri 27th September

Performance Sat 28th September

 

As yet this is an unfunded project but we are working to offer a performance stipend.
